Always Made For The Depth – Rolex Submariner And Mark Freuder Knopfler

rolex-submarinerRolex introduced the Rolex Submariner in the year 1953 as the first water-resistant Rolex timepiece. The first water-resistant Rolex Submariner was able to withstand a depth of 100 metres, which approximately a massive 330 feet under the surface of water. Few years later, the water resistance ability was strengthened by its patented triple-seal Triplock winding crown, which made it capable of withstanding depths of up to 300 meters (approximately 1000 feet under the surface of water). Oyster case is another unique feature which needs a special mention here. Every Rolex timepiece has an Oyster case which has the access for a group of selected professional Rolex specialists.

Very few people in the world are permitted to peek inside a Rolex Oyster. The authorised Rolex retailers possessing the necessary know-how, skills and equipments to gain access are the only ones who are allowed inside a Rolex Oyster. The back of the Rolex Oyster is hermetically sealed to the case with a massive torque of five newton meters. This helps in creating an environment that protects the movement of the watch from shocks, pressure, dust, water or any other intrusive element pervading in the environment. Such protection is extremely rare in other timepieces of the world.

In the year 1926, Rolex invented the Oyster case in order to protect the movement of the watch from water and dust. Later on in 1953, the Twinlock winding crown was patented by Rolex to ensure further protection for professional divers. Rolex increased guarantee of waterproofness for the diving watches by introducing the Triplock winding crown in 1970. The Triplock winding crown comprises of 10 different elements crafted from the most reliable materials. Once they are assembled together, they screw down onto the Oyster case as tightly as a submarine hatch. The Rolex Submariner’s rotatable bezel is another important characteristic of the watch.

The graduations in the dial of the Rolex Submariner provide the diver with an accurate indication of diving time. For safety reasons, it only rotates counter clockwise in order to leave no room for the overestimation of dive time or the amount of breathing mix remaining in the tanks. The luminescent capsule ensures legibility irrespective of low visibility environments. A bezel with a blue, black or green Cerachrom insert graces the Rolex Submariner-Date’s 40 mm case.mark-freuder-knopfler Made from extremely hard ceramic material, the Rolex Cerachrom insert has wonderful corrosion-resistant properties. Its colour remains unaffected from the strong ultra-violet rays and also it is virtually scratchproof.

The Colorful Life Of Tough People - Rolex Cosmograph Daytona And Wayne Rooney

wayne-rooneySports is a way of life for the rough, the ruthless and the tough-willed. It is sometimes even about rage and revenge, for that is what drives competition. And, we are not talking cricket here, its football. The game is about chase, persistence and competence. Such is the spirit of the game and its players. Where on one hand we can see absolute involvement with the game, a die-hard attitude and a cunning strategy the other colours of the game come out just brilliantly on the other side in form of success, fame and fortune. Such is the case with Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Watches. These Rolex watches are a representation of the varied colours of life coming together to create a delightful pattern. With the Cosmograph Daytona Watches Rolex has once again brought to the world a fantastic example of imagination at its best.

In its physical quintessence the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona can be described as a unique time-piece bejewelled with a range of sapphires that contrast perfectly well with the dial. The three counters in brilliant yellow gold sit magnificently on the black lacquer of the dial. It is an absolute delight to know that each counter has been given a different identity as no one counter replicates the other. The chronograph has accuracy to 1/8 of a second and is an officially certified Swiss chronometer. To top it all, the watch has been set in the oyster bracelet that adds confidence to its personality.

The watch is sheer joy to watch as it glistens in the charismatic colours of the rainbow. The reds giving way to oranges that take the tint of bright yellows further extending to merge with the enticing greens that give way to the glorious blues and so on. The beautiful coming together of colours indeed leaves one wondering about the real nature of the watch. Does it represent fiction? Is it for the bold? What does it truly signify? Well in its purest essence the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches are symbolic to cosmos, to life. For its various colours stand alone even in togetherness creating a beautiful pattern of oneness in diversity.rolex-cosmograph-daytonaThe spell bounding bezel of the watch is set gold and has a profound appeal, thought provoking indeed. The watch excellently matches with the concept of colour therapy that is an ancient basis of life. All the chakra colours coming together in the bezel have a therapeutic effect on the soul.

Quite like the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is the renowned UK football player Wayne Rooney. The football player brings to life an image of a bold, daring, rough yet successful individual who has made it big in his passion. He made his international debut in 2003. It was then that he became the youngest player representing England. Another stroke of success came when he became England’s youngest ever goal-scorer. Rooney has also tasted bitterness by being blamed for being ruthless, but then anger is just another shade of life. He is just one of those people who do not like to hide the drama. May be that’s how one lives life king-size.
